Book research on Maui

For the past ten years, I’ve worked on a book that takes place an ocean away. It can be hard to describe a setting that is so different from the one you live in, which is why I recommend writing in place. Lucky for me, that place is Hawaiʻi and even better still Maui is where the dirt still lingers on my roots. Here are a few of the photos I took that capture the locations my character, Moses Kanekoa will move through in his journey to find his way to becoming a hero that his people needs.
